About Me
- bruised reed
- just shooting questions to the universe and hoping that when the right time comes I will receive some answers, or if not, I will be given something to enrich my life.

Sisterhood
When we meet another person in flesh and blood, we realize that we cannot categorize anything or anyone as purely white and purely black. There is much more to a person that her or his present state.
We are all struggling, trying to be the best persons that we can be.
Let us be kind to one another.

From Palm to Passion to Pasch
I attended a Palm Sunday Mass at a small parish. At the homily the priest talked about the Holy Week as a celebration from Palm to Passion to Pasch. It was Jesus' journey. It is our journey as well.
The journey doesn't happen once in a lifetime. It is a process that is repeating until we are moulded into the creation that God originally created us to be: His image and likeness.
It is very normal as we go through life, we would want to be recognized, to be acclaimed, to shine, even for a brief moment. That is our Palm Sunday.
But then, since restlessness is something that is inherent in our creaturehood, this shining moment loses its fascination and leaves us to craving for something more. When something we thought would make us feel fulfilled fails to do so, we become disillusioned. It makes us question a lot, from the most trivial to the most profound. In a sense, this is our Passion because those that have given security to our life suddenly come falling apart. It is those moments in life when, like Jesus on the cross, we shout out "Father, why have you forsaken me?".
But as in Jesus' life, we know that it doesn't end in death and defeat. The seeming defeat is the necessary way to the resurrection, to gaining a deeper understanding of life.
There are no shortcuts to life. We must go through the palm to the passion to rise again.

Happy women's day!
To every girl and woman I know, remember that you are God's gift to the world. May your struggle to find your place in the world not distract you from being happy for the person that you are.
May every woman in the world find the deepest foundation on which to build her worth: God. Everything in life passes: career, beauty, family, friends, money, they all pass. Though they are important, they are not ultimately the strong foundation that will support the "house" that is our life. Only God is.

God answers our prayers
Sometimes God answers our prayers, not in the way that we are expecting. We just have to trust that God knows best. The way may be long and narrow, but it always leads to peace.

May God bless you
This is one of those days when I wake up tired and would just love to go back to bed and let whatever it is that is bothering me pass.
But life has to go on. I have tasks to do and meetings to attend, so I try to be as positive as possible.
I guess this is an experience that I share with the rest of humankind.
We don't always feel upbeat, but we have to get up.
We don't always feel inspired, but we have to perspire to get things done.
So for all of you out there who are dragging yourself from one point to another, I bless you. May God give you whatever you need to live this day in peace. Amen.

Radiating God's light
We pray for all Consecrated women and men.
May the problems of the world not overwhelm us and turn us into angry reformists or complacent conformists.
May Jesus Christ be the Light from whom we draw the small and flickering lights that we carry to the world, offering joy and hope.
May love for God and neighbor be the only reason that motivates us and gives us the courage to sow seeds even when we do not see results, knowing that it is God who makes things grow in His own time.
