Lost without a shepherd

I imagine Jesus looking at the world right now with the same sentiments he had two thousand years ago! We are like sheep without a shepherd.
Many of those who are supposed to take care of the sheep are like mercenaries who take advantage of the sheep and use them for their own gain.
The sheep are scattered, each one fighting for its own survival and look at the others as rivals. Without a point of communion, the law of the jungle prevails, the survival of the fittest!
What is the way out? Awareness, and for awareness to arise, we must have the courage to let things 'hang in there' for a while, that is, not have the hurry to resolve everything; rather, take time off to sort of 'regroup' and get in touch with the deepest truths in our hearts. The only ones that will matter to us at the end of our life.
To take time off is necessary for the salvation of our soul, otherwise, we become gobbled by the chaos within and outside of us.

Salvation

"Lord, will only a few people be saved?" (Lk 13:23), a question addressed to Jesus. Wrong question. It shows a mindset that is non-inclusive, a competitive tendency.
Salvation is a gift. It is not based on our merits or our worthiness.
Does it mean an upright life is not necessary?
Again, wrong logic.
Salvation is a gift. As with other gifts, it is useless unless we accept it. Accepting salvation is not a matter of words; rather, it is conforming our lives to Jesus: loving people and doing good to others.
We don't pay for our salvation. Someone has already done that for us. We are truly saved when we begin to look at others as brothers and sisters; when we realize that life is not about enjoying it but of finding its purpose.
We have only one life, let us make it worth living.

Praising God

It is fitting to praise God.
It is right and just to begin and end the day singing God's praises.
I awake because of God's goodness.
I owe to God both the breath that I take and the beating of my heart.
The desire to do good is an inspiration that God put in my heart. Praise God!
The benevolent gaze towards others, it is not my own doing, but God working in me. To God be praise.
God is my redeemer today and at all times.
The story of my life is a story of salvation.
