a bruised reed he will not break, a smoldering wick he will not quench. Mt. 12:20
About Me
- bruised reed
- just shooting questions to the universe and hoping that when the right time comes I will receive some answers, or if not, I will be given something to enrich my life.

Lost without a shepherd
I imagine Jesus looking at the world right now with the same sentiments he had two thousand years ago! We are like sheep without a shepherd.
Many of those who are supposed to take care of the sheep are like mercenaries who take advantage of the sheep and use them for their own gain.
The sheep are scattered, each one fighting for its own survival and look at the others as rivals. Without a point of communion, the law of the jungle prevails, the survival of the fittest!
What is the way out? Awareness, and for awareness to arise, we must have the courage to let things 'hang in there' for a while, that is, not have the hurry to resolve everything; rather, take time off to sort of 'regroup' and get in touch with the deepest truths in our hearts. The only ones that will matter to us at the end of our life.
To take time off is necessary for the salvation of our soul, otherwise, we become gobbled by the chaos within and outside of us.

Life forevermore
"God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son." (1 Jn 5:11)
There is more to life than today, but this today is an important part of life.
The present moment is what gives life concreteness; it's not just a memory nor a dream.
To live the present moment well does not mean denying the past; indeed, when we live the present moment, we pay homage to the past because we acknowledge its lessons.
To live the present moment well does not mean rejecting the future, for today is the soil on which the future is built.
To live the present moment is to be grateful because today, this fleeting time we have in our hands, is a gift, that is why we call it "present".

Feel it, savor it
We run from one experience to another; we look for different adventures because we never stop to just savor what we have, the present moment.
Time is not only chronos, that is, a sequence; time is also kairos, a deep immersion in order to discover the various layers of the same experience.
This is what Advent offers us - a deeper immersion into whatever it is we are experiencing at the moment, and discover the Faithful Presence that gently leads us.

Full circle
Today I talked on the phone with the person who has hurt me most.
I had to undergo a long journey of healing and forgiveness after this person has hurt me and treated me like trash.
This is not the first time that we have talked after years of not talking to each other. The previous ones were sincere on my part, I guess, on her part, too.
But I guess all wounds take time to heal until you don't feel any pain anymore, and the scar just reminds you of the battle that you have won.

Radiating God's light
We pray for all Consecrated women and men.
May the problems of the world not overwhelm us and turn us into angry reformists or complacent conformists.
May Jesus Christ be the Light from whom we draw the small and flickering lights that we carry to the world, offering joy and hope.
May love for God and neighbor be the only reason that motivates us and gives us the courage to sow seeds even when we do not see results, knowing that it is God who makes things grow in His own time.

A best friend
A friend is someone you can be with for eight hours straight.
A best friend is someone you can be with for eight hours straight and still think that time isn't enough.

The gift of healing
Nope, it isn't true. Time doesn't heal all wounds, especially wounded relationships. Together with time is the other factor called "letting go" and it is translated in forgiving yourself and the other person.
And being healed doesn't mean that things go back to where they were before. This is impossible.
Being healed means being able to pick up the phone, listen to that still familiar voice, and feel a quiet peace within.

Prayer
You never take away from action what you put in on prayer.

Time
"This experience has marked my life. I am never the same. Suddenly I feel as if my heart has been torn apart and it is going to take a long time to heal. I will take this time and be gentle with myself. I will entrust myself to Jesus, the friend who never fails. He alone can heal me.
I hope that when you read this, you will be okay.
Take care always and remember, especially in your difficult moments, what an amazingly strong woman you have become."
I wrote this to myself a year ago. I don't even remember having written this letter to myself. As I read and re-read every line, it dawned on me how time is a great healer.
I am okay now. In fact, I could say that I am in a good place.
But I had to respect the law of time. Time is its own rule. It cannot be hurried. It cannot be brought back, nor can it be anticipated.
And it turns out that what I wished for myself a year ago all came true.
But it took time...
